10th Annual Auction was a Big Hit!

Another Auction has come and gone and this was definitely one for the books! After 10 years of this fun-filled fundraiser, we thought it fitting to really turn things up a notch and we have to say, the Motown Theme was a big hit! From the decor to the program, things came together like never before. When we set out in January to start what we have deemed "Auction Season" we never really know what the final outcome will be. Auction takes on a life of its own and we are as blown away as you are about how amazing the day really was!

This year we added live performances to the program during the silent auction and Emily Whitcomb did a fantastic job with her rendition of "Let's Bid it All" to the tune of Marvin Gaye. Then Carmin & The Miracles brought the house down as they danced to Aretha Franklin. All those girls were asking for was a little Respect!

Just prior to the Dessert and Live Auction, Alumni Mantia Woods shared her heart-warming story of redemption, reunification and recovery. Little Mariah made her big screen debut and helped her mom paint the picture  of what their life together looks like today in their Mommy Daughter video. What a cutie! We are honored to have been able to embark on this journey with Mantia. Her story is just one of countless others who have found healing and done the real work of transformation in their time with us!

Our Director Carmin Ottley addressed attendees, sharing the powerful story of grace and hope that is Truly Motivated. As she highlighted organizational goals around staff and program changes, she urged the audience to continue to partner monthly as we walk side-by-side with the men and women we serve. Your support changes lives and we thank you!!!

Now, are you ready to hear the final numbers?? Taking the full commitment of monthly partnerships into account, together, we raised an astounding $79,300!!!!! Our ability to invest in the lives of those recovering from the disease of addiction is now a certainty thanks to everyone that affirmed their belief in our work by raising their paddles that day! We're so grateful!!!

Everyone from staff to volunteers, from donors to servers pulled out all the stops this year. The Prime Rib Dinner, compliments of Cascade's Chef Chris Dean was to die for. And those desserts!!! We had not one but two this year sell for $1000 or more!

We can't close without mentioning that the day simply wouldn't have had the same tone if anyone other than Crossroad's Pastor Pete Anderson hadn't stepped up as this year's new MC. Pete took on the day with such commitment and passion and brought an element of fun and lightheartedness to the event this year that just added to the whole feel. We missed Camp's Rob Mohrweis who filled that role for nearly every auction prior, but we are grateful he gave so much time and effort to prepping Pete for the job! We also have to acknowledge Camp's former Program Director Claudia "Dirt" Fisher, who came out and volunteered for the day as Point Person. She's the lady behind the scene's making sure everything goes off without a hitch all day and we couldn't do it without her!

We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did. If it was your first auction, now you know this is an event you don't want to miss! If you're a seasoned goer, thank you for coming back year after year to celebrate, win big and show your support!
